Pre-service Teachers Embrace the Fundamentals on Becoming ‘Teacher 4.0’

390 pre-service teachers attended the π’πžπ¦π’π§πšπ«-𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐀𝐬𝐑𝐨𝐩 𝐨𝐧 𝐏π₯𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐒𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 πƒπžπ₯𝐒𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐒𝐧𝐠 π‹πžπ¬π¬π¨π§π¬: π“π‘πž πƒπžπ©π„π π–πšπ² with the theme, β€œTeacher 4.0: Embracing the Fundamentals towards Phenomenal Outcomes,” last Nov. 26 & 28 (22) at the CoEd Function Room.

The said seminar-workshop was conceptualized to enhance the knowledge and skills of the pre-service teachers on planning and delivering lessons using the template prescribed by the Department of Education, as part of the course Field Study 2, and in preparation for their Teaching Internship next semester.

Day 1 centered on the topic β€œWriting a Lesson Plan” which was realized through breakout session by specialization with the invited resource speakers from the DepEd Catbalogan City Division, namely:

Mrs. Cynthia R. Luay, SST III – BSEd-English Resource Speaker

Mrs. Antonette l. Radomes, MT II – BSEd-Science Resource Speaker

Mrs. Holly Nicole D. Estrelles, SST III – BSEd-Social Studies Resource Speaker

Mrs. Charito C. Cabrido, MT I – BPEd Resource Speaker

Dr. Janice R. Manicane, SST III – BTLED Resource Speaker

Further, Day 2 highlighted the topic on β€œDelivering Lesson” through teaching demonstrations by specialization. The demonstrators were evaluated by the panel of experts on their professional and personal competencies, where the top 3 best demonstrators were hailed.

First Place – Ms. Sandra BaΓ±ar (BSEd-Math)

Second Place – Mr. Joshua Estrelles (BSEd-Social Studies)

Third Place – Mr. Christian Aban (BSEd-English)

The two-day event concluded with a closing remark from the President of Educators’ Guild, Christhel Jean A. Bernas and was immediately followed by a solidarity dance led by the Educators’ Guild Officers.
