Samar State University is paving its way to the top as it makes service excellence a lifestyle. Quality has always been a priority for SSU conforming to legal and statutory requirements for continual improvement and customer satisfaction. It already has made a name, but SSU will not stop lending its hand of service, changing lives and transforming communities.
The University was conferred as Third Place BEST EMPLOYER for CY 2018 Government Category by the PhilHealth Regional Office VIII. The said award was given last March 28, 2019 during the PhilHealth Stakeholders Forum.
SSU also became a member institution of the University Mobility for Asia and the Pacific (UMAP). UMAP is comprised of 36 countries/territories with over 600 member universities/institutions, As member, SSU students and faculty are now eligible to apply for exchange programs with other member institutions.
As part of the University’s international collaborations, the University President inked partnerships with Dong Thap University, National University of Kaohsiung and Fortune University, Tra Vinh University, and Handong Global University.
With SSU’s partnership with Yamagata University (YU), Japan, the University accommodated MS. AMI ONUKI, 2nd Year BS Economics student of YU, as exchange student from August 26-September 25, 2019.
