CONHS Seal

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences’ emblem is represented by its’ vision, mission and goals embracing the university’s guiding principle on Leadership, Values, Excellence and Innovation. The seal and the symbols represented on it further depict of the qualities nurtured within the curriculum and learning environment.

The Caduceus symbol found at the center of the emblem is seen as a winged staff with two snakes winding around indicating the paramedical professions. The four icons found in the right and left side of the Caduceus are the symbols of the course offerings of the college. The Open Book placed beneath the staff symbolizes the quest for lifelong learning, knowledge and wisdom – achieving optimal health through education.

The Laurel Leaves symbolize the culture of excellence, recognizing the paramedical education as an art and a science. Likewise, it also stands for humanistic spirit, which propels the individual to greater heights.

CONHS Goals

CONHS Program Objectives

    The graduates of Nursing Program will be able to:

  1. Render safe, competent and comprehensive nursing care to individuals, families and groups in promotive, preventive, therapeutic and rehabilitative health situations in the hospital or community.
  2. Demonstrate relevant nursing skills in all areas of practice.
  3. Work interdependently with other members of the health care team in the delivery of quality health services, exuding a sense of leadership to both health and non-health workers in any setting.
  4. Participate in research undertaking and utilize the research findings for the benefit of the community and the country as a whole.
  5. Be cognizant of the legal and ethico-moral responsibilities.
  6. Assume responsibility for professional development.

The graduates of Pharmacy will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate moral and scientific competence in delivering the full spectrum of pharmaceutical services in the community, pharmaceutical industry, health centers, drug information centers and laboratories.
  2. Participate in research undertaking and utilize the research findings for the benefit of the community and country as a whole.
  3. Be cognizant with the sound entrepreneurial practices and legal responsibilities
  4. Participate in national health care programs through community outreach services and dissemination of valuable information on nutrition, ecology, drugs, and herbal technology.

The graduates of Nutrition and Dietetics will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate professional competence if the areas of Foods, Nutrition, and Dietetics which will help them improve the health and nutrition status of the people they will serve.
  2. Conduct research in the area of Foods, Nutrition, and Dietetics aimed at improving the quality of life of individuals and communities.
  3. Established sound entrepreneurial activities in the areas of Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics.
  4. Participate in national health care programs through community outreach services dissemination of valuable information on nutrition.
