A Yuletide Spectacle: SSU Shines in Red & White Christmas Extravaganza!

CATBALOGAN CITY – As the holiday season blankets Samar State University in a warm glow, members of the Personnel Association came alive with the joyous sounds of laughter and cheer, manifesting the spirit of Christmas. This year, the faculty and staff of the University celebrated and embraced the season of giving with prizes and surprises held last December 20 (23) at the SSU gymnasium.

“Truly, Christmas lies in our hearts. So, as we gather here today enveloped in the warmth of the holiday season, let us take a moment to reflect on the true spirit of Christmas- joy, gratitude, and love,” University President Marilyn D. Cardoso stated in her Christmas Message.

Organized by the PA officers, contests such as the Christmas Dance Craze and Best Bugsok Headdress were conducted. And a total of 130 thousand worth of prizes including cash, food package, and appliances were drawn as gifts and surprises. 

The Administration and Finance Department took the center stage as they brought home the bacon being declared as the Christmas Dance Craze winner. While the College of Education was awarded with the Best Bugsok Headdress. 

Faculty Regent and SSU-PA President Mr. Jhonil C. Bajado expressed gratitude on behalf of the PA officers as personnel enjoyed the cocktail bar and the dance floor—a manifestation that there’s truly joy, gratitude, and love in Christmas.
