CATBALOGAN CITY – Personnel and students of Samar State University (SSU) participated the 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill 2022 on September 16 (22).

Headed by the Office of the University President through the SSU Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (SSU-DRRMO) and in coordination with the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), all units and departments practiced the “duck, cover, and hold” procedure as they move to the open spaces of the University.

“This will enable our students, faculty and personnel to be more aware on the measures that they can do to counteract hazard brought about by earthquakes,” SSU-DRRM Officer – Mr. Gilbey L. Rosales stated.

This activity is part of SSU’s strategic goal towards building a resilient and future-proof University.
