
CATBALOGAN CITY─From the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) sits the most eligible bachelorette of Samar State University (SSU). She is no other than the Vice President of OSAS, Engr. Ma. Lourdes “Dayday” P. Amante.
This lady from Palo, Leyte is no less than a daughter of Catbalogan, Samar serving as SSU’s Dean of the College of Engineering, Dean of Student Development and Related Services, Chief Security Officer, and presently the Vice President for Student Affairs and Services being and a Certified Student Affairs and Services Specialist at that.
“She is the kind of boss who will back you up. She will defend you,” says Dr. Mae V. Cañal, the Director of Student Welfare and Development Services.
Also described as exceptionally down-to-earth and extremely generous by her subordinates, batchmates and Dabarkads, Engr. Amante simply wins long time and friendship and unconditional love.
On her free time, she loves writing poetry and cooking her family’s favorite recipes. This empowered woman champions the heart of men, not in particular but in general, at home and at work.
