SSU-HRMO facilitates Resilient Leadership Training

CATBALOGAN CITY- The Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) of Samar State University (SSU) facilitated a Resilient Training via Zoom Web Conferencing on May 11-14 (21).

Participated by Top Management, specifically Unit/Department Heads, Deans/Campus Directors, and Directors, the webinar was intended to provide salient insights on effective leadership and management as the University continues to deal with the challenges of year 2 in this time of pandemic.

Topics covered include Self-Efficacy: The Key to Hope and Healing, 4C’s of Change and Organizational Development, Adaptive Leadership: Whats and Whys, Digital Techniques/ Communication and Perception Skills in the Workplace, The ABC’s of Psychological First Aid, Alternative Work Arrangements and Support Mechanisms in the Bureaucracy, and Occupational Safety and Health Standard for the Public Sector.

Director IV Victoria F. Esber, Director II Rey Albert B. Uy, Sr. HRS Maria Victoria P. Arevalo, Mr. Michael L. Tenebro, and Atty. VI Flordeliza C. Algas shared their most valued time, knowledge, and experience as Resource Speakers of the topics.

“It is important to further capacitate our senior leaders especially along people management as they guide the organization through this crisis,” said the University President Marilyn D. Cardoso.

This online training course is just one of the programs of SSU for personnel development hitting Goal 5 of SSU Resilience and Business Continuity Strategic Plan Amid Covid-19 Pandemic which is to Inculcate Resilience, Innovation, and Service among SSU Leaders, Faculty, Staff, and Students.
