Espano, Arts & Cultural Heritage Program (ACHeP) Director Mr. Rowell Dacanay, and SSU Chorale Adviser Ms. Bliss Gara.
This initiative seeks to further enrich the university’s cultural and artistic programs. It was facilitated by former ACHeP Director Mr. Jhonil C. Bajado and current Director Mr. Rowell Dacanay. The donation will help address the need for additional instruments as SSU strengthens its commitment to traditional Filipino music.
Mr. Jhonil C. Bajado, who founded the SSU Ukulele Ensemble as part of the university’s efforts to promote performance arts in Samar, will now serve as the Creative Director of the SSU Rondalla. His leadership is expected to enhance the group’s musical direction and ensure the continued growth of Rondalla music in the region.
