SSU Joins 2023 IP Month through Art Exhibit

CATBALOGAN CITY-In support to the promotion and celebration of the 2023 National Indigenous Peoples Month celebration, Samar State University conducted an Art Exhibition at the Ground Floor of the Convention Center on October 31 (23).

Participated by the Art Appreciation and Reading Visual Arts Classes, the exhibit was a showcase of creativity and talent among BS Electronics Engineering 2A, 2B, & 4A, BS Electrical Engineering 2A, and BS Architecture 2C students as they made the art work themselves with the Indigenous People as their inspiration.

The displays came in various forms including info posters, paintings, drawings, and handicrafts made from different materials and medium.

With this year’s theme “Buhay na Dunong: Pagkamalikhain at Kalikasan” (Living Heritage: Creativity and Nature), the activity hoped to spread awareness of the creativity of IPs and the richness of nature to sustain intangible cultural heritage.
