CATBALOGAN CITY─Sharing the vision towards global engagement and cooperation, Samar State University (SSU) joined the Nationwide simultaneous Flag-Raising Ceremony and ASEAN Month 2023 Kick-Off Activity on August 7(23) via a hybrid platform.
Led by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), this year’s ASEAN Month 2023 celebration theme: “ASEAN Matters: Epicentrum of Growth” highlights the vision of the ASEAN as a beacon of peace and stability in the region amidst multi-dimensional challenges.
Following the simultaneous event with CHED Central Office and CHED regional office VIII is SSU’s conduct of its onsite opening program for the same celebration.
“If we have each other, we will always end victorious,” stated President Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso in her Message as she emphasized the significance of cooperation and collaboration for collective growth and progress.
The ASEAN long-month celebration will continue with upcoming events and SSU commits to join the CHED RO 8 with its various activities including the Regional Opening of the ASEAN Month Celebration, ASEAN Commemorative Contests, 2nd Internationalization Conference: Live Experence on Facuty and Student Mobility, and ASEAN Festival of Talents and Closing Ceremony.
