CATBALOGAN CITY- The Tingog Partylist with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) conducted a Turnover Ceremony of the 4-storey Library Building to Samar State University (SSU) on March 20 (23) at SSU-Mercedes Campus.
This 38M building project was implemented by DPWH and funded by Tingog Partylist, a political organization that aims to uplift the communities in the rural area or countryside.
Attended by SSU Key officials headed by President Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso, Tingog Partylist Representative Hon. Jude A. Acidre duly represented by its 4th nominee Hon. Jaime Go, DPWH-Samar 2nd DeO District Engineer Herminio V. Gulmatico well represented by Engr. Eunice Nuevo, the Certificate of Occupancy, Fire Safety Certificate, Building Permit, and Building Key were officially handed over to the University.
A building blessing ceremony was also held led by Chaplain Priest Major Shidie B. Bitanga.
“SSU is sincerely grateful to the Tingog Party list for this significant memento of support. This building will symbolize learning and transformation,” Dr. Cardoso expressed in her Acceptance Message.
As same accolade was given to the Samar Province, the office of the 2nd District Representative, and to the Department of Public Works and Highway for making this project possible, the event capped off with a photo opportunity.
