SSU-CoEd honors victorious alumni passing 2021, 2022 LET

CATBALOGAN CITY – The College of Education (CoEd) of Samar State University (SSU) hosted a Testimonial Dinner on June 17 (22) for its alumni who passed the September 2021, January 2022, and March 2022 Licensure Examinations for Teachers (LET).

27 BEED and 10 BSED newly-licensed teachers attended the event organized by the Educators’ Guild Officers (EGO) led by its adviser Ms. Manilyn Serpajuan-Sablan.

Gracing the event in ‘yellow’ were CoEd Dean Dr. Laura B. Boller  and its faculty.

Earlier that day,  practice teachers led by the EGO together with the January 2022 LET 10th Placer (Elementary Level) Ms. Carmen Joy M. Barte paraded around Catbalogan City.

Ms. Barte was awarded with the University Medallion, Plaques of Recognition from SSU and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), cash incentive amounting to Php 30,000.00 and another incentive given by the college and handed over by the Vice President for Student Affairs Engr. Ma. Lourdes P. Amante, the Vice President for Administration and Finance Dr. Gina U. Españo, and the Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Felisa E. Gomba.

“I targeted the 10th spot and I got it,” stated Ms. Barte in her testimonial speech.

Other board passers from the different major fields of the college also delivered their testimonies.

In her congratulatory message, the University President Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso expressed her appreciation to the passers for carrying the banner of the University well and to the college for producing competent teachers through quality and inclusive education.
