CATBALOGAN CITY – Samar State University (SSU) Vice President for Administration and Finance (VPAF) Dr. Gina U. Españo, Dean of the College of Education (CoEd) Dr. Laura B. Boller, and company attended the Ceremonial Unveiling of Spark Samar Sports City Scale Model at Samar Provincial Capitol on April 26 (22).
During the ceremony, Gov. Michael Tan announced the commencement of the megastructure’s groundworks.
The Samar Sports City Master Plan and Stadium Project is a 17-hectare master plan development in Barangay Lagundi which will house a stadium complex and adjacent developments such as the Waray People’s Museum and Arboretum, a BPO campus, a commercial strip, a hotel, and a residential component according to WTA Architecture + Design Studio, the bidder who was awarded with the project.
Part of the sports city model is a recreational space specially designed by Architecture students of SSU-College of Industrial Technology (CIT).
