QUEZON CITY – Former Samar State University (SSU) Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) Major in Mathematics student Mr. Von Christopher G. Chua is reaching and teaching more senior high school students as he authors a recently published textbook titled “From Explorations to Experiences: Precalculus for the STEM Learner Textbook.
With an Undergraduate Scholarship Program from the Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI), Mr. Chua graduated as Cum Laude. He was also a recipient of the Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo Academic Excellence Award, Senate Award of Excellence in Leadership, and the Academics and DOST-SEI Award of Excellence in Mathematics on 2009. Further, Mr. Chua was former Editor-in-Chief of the College Tradesman and received the SSU’s Seal of Leadership Excellence as a student-writer.
At present, Mr. Chua is a Special Science Teacher at the Philippine Science High School (PSHS) – Main Campus, Quezon City is set to publish more textbooks along Mathematics Education as he carries along with him the banner of Samar State University, his Alma Mater.
