
CATBALOGAN CITY – After the Office of the Vice President for Research and Extension Services purchased the software iThenticate Turnitin Plagiarism Checker to continuously build the faculty-researchers’ productivity along research publication, a training on how to use the software was conducted on March 1 (22) via Zoom.
The Samar Island Center for Adult Education and Technology Learning (SI-CAETLE) led the training which aims to capacitate research directors, coordinators and researchers on the use of the software for research manuscripts and scholarly outputs.
Sixteen (16) research coordinators from different research centers joined the training and learned the basics of the software from a Turnitin Philippines Professional and Education Services Consultant, Niña Victorio – Buenabajo, who tackled the topics on the Introduction to Feedback Studio, How the Similarity Index Report work and the File Requirements, Logging in to Turnitin: Creating Class, Creating an Assignment, Assignment Settings, and Navigating Feedback Studio: Similarity Report, GradeMark, ETS E-rater.
Present during the activity were the Vice President for Research and Extension Services Dr. Ronald L. Orale and the Executive Director for Research Dr. Sherrie Ann Labid.
