CATBALOGAN CITY – Samar State University through the Samar Island Center for Good and Local Governance (SSU-SICGLG) established a partnership with the Department of Interior and Local Government –Samar (DILG-Samar) through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing on February 10 (22) at the SSU Convention Center.
The ceremony marks the start of the implementation of various programs, projects, and activities centred on capacity development.
In attendance were SSU President Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso, DILG Samar Provincial Director Judy L. Batulan, City Local Government Operations Officer (CLGOO) VII/Cluster Head of DILG Samar Frances Joy Monsanto, and the Director of SICGLG Dr. Abigail M. Cabaguing.
And as part of the DILG visit, Dir. Batulan conferred the plaque of recognition to SSU for being recognized as 2021 NextGen Regional Accelerator in Local Governance Awardee for the Visayas Cluster during the CapDev Accelerator Awards in 2021.
