CATBALOGAN CITY – More than a hundred of Samar State University (SSU) employees were oriented on the essentials of business writing through a Technical Skills Training via Zoom by the Former Editor-in-Chief of Sunstar Davao, Mrs. Stella A. Estremera on October 19 (21).

Mrs. Estremera who is also the Executive Director of the Lawig-Diwa Inc. – a Davao based arts and culture organization that organizes culture and art development programs, updated the knowledge and communication/writing skills of the employees in terms of business correspondence and professional etiquette online.

The training was conducted by the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) led by its Training Coordinator, Ms. Junelle R. Guerra, to orient employees about the relevance and importance of maintaining a professional virtual presence through business writing.

“The power to nail one’s ideas is crucial. Through our letters, emails, reviews, proposals and the likes, they serve as our connections to our stakeholders and partner-agencies. Therefore, the message we want to get across with should be comprehensive, proficient and informative,” said the University President, Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso, in her Opening Message.

This activity empowers employees as they take part in increasing organizational productivity through excellent business writing skills.
