Catbalogan City, Samar – Five undergraduate and graduate programs of Samar State University (SSU) are subjected to Level IV accreditation starting today, April 29 until April 3, 2019.
The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) will evaluate the undergraduate programs of the College of Education and College of Engineering which includes the Bachelor of Secondary Education, Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, respectively.
Graduate programs such as the Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management (Ph.D. EM) and Doctor of Philosophy in Technology Management (Ph.D. TM) will also be visited by the accreditors.
During the opening program, the University President emphasized that quality assurance has already become a lifestyle in the university. She welcomed the accreditors in their weeklong stay in SSU.
“To the accreditors, our earnest gratitude for your time, expertise, enthusiasm, and your commitment. And also, thank you for giving us the avenue to constantly revisit our mission and vision,” said Cardoso.
Cardoso couldn’t help but get teary-eyed as she commended the efforts of her ‘co-builders’ who helped in the preparation of the visit.
“Whatever happens, we are a success,” she concluded.
The April 2019 accrediting team is composed of Dr. Hedeliza A. Pineda, Dr. Aquilino M. Enriquez, Dr. Edgar A. Solano, Dr. Galileo Toledo, and Dr. Cecilio S. Baga of Cebu Technological University (CTU); Dr. Reermeline B. Plamo, Dr. Juanita P. Rejas, Dr. Ma. Lilibeth G. Castil, and Dr. Christine V. Cubillo of Bohol Island State University (BISU); Dr. Carlo T. Nabo of Western Mindanao State University (WMSU); Dr. Araceli B. Careras of Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST); Dr. Celeste V. Francia of Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA); Dr. Estrella E. Yago of the Philippine State College of Aeronautics (PhilSCA); Dr. Leticia B. Gaño of Isabela State University; Dr. Fe S. Soriano of Pangasinan State University (PanSU); Dr. Erlinda P. Orgaya of Partido State University (ParSU); Dr. Florie B. Gapido of the University of Rizal System (URS); Dr. Erlinda S. Jiz de Ortega, and Dr. Erlinda J.
