Rationale/Introduction:
The Workshop on Writing and Publishing in ISI Journals is a purpose-build training program for the aspiring researchers who want to increase their academic rank and background knowledge in writing and publishing papers in ISI-indexed journals. The workshop will help the faculty, staff, students, and researchers to aim publication at the phase of research design, produce publications from general research consignments and administer their research for publishing in middle to high ranked journals. The workshop has a sound combination of introductory, capacity-building exercises and tips to speed up publishing rate. Benefits of the said workshop comes in wide array, for it will be subdivided into several sessions, all tackling major topics in writing and publication, respectively.
The International Scientific Indexing (ISI) server provides indexing of major international journals and proceedings. Author can get information about international journal impact factor, research papers and information about latest trends. The purpose is to increase the visibility and ease of use of open access scientific and scholarly journals. The benefit of such, is that once a journal is indexed and got validated stamp from ISI, the said party can request for the calculation of impact factor for their corresponding journal.
Workshop objectives will cover the following, (1) Introduce the essentials of writing journal manuscript; (2) Assist the participants in preparing their writing for journal publication; (3) Allocate operative strategies and techniques in proper writing of journal publication; (4) Assist the participant in publishing their article in high impact journals. After the said activity, it is expected that the following sets of outputs from the participants are acquired, (1) Equipped the participants with necessary knowledge and skills in writing journal articles; (2) Enable to select suitable journals for their research manuscripts especially to the high impact journals; (3) Prepare the participants on their first manuscript submission to the editorial board of the journals; (4) Enable to promote their journal articles and increase the citations as well.
