SSU-OSAS orients students for SY 2021-2022

CATBALOGAN CITY – Samar State University (SSU) through the Office of the Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) welcomed students to School Year 2021-2022 through an Onboarding on September 23-24 (21) via Zoom conferencing and FB Live Stream.

The University acknowledges the importance of supporting students adjust to the new norm, especially with the current learning modalities employed in the academe.

During the two-day event, Ms. Sweet Mercy Pacolor tackled the Flexible Learning, Engr. Maricris Ediza showed the Computer Basics, and Mr. Zaldy Jabiñar walked through the students on SSU’s Learning Management.

On September 24, Dr. Redentor S. Palencia reminded the Online Class Netiquette, Dr. Marife M. Lacaba discussed the Ethical Practices for Class, Engr. Abegail Bordios talked about the Apps for Education, and Ms. Maria Angie Suarez Del Real covered on Open Educational Resource.

The activity mainly aimed to prepare new students and help them adjust to the new learning delivery mode. While this is conducted yearly for first-year students, transferees, and shifters, this also serves as a re-orientation to returnees and continuing students.

The FB live streaming hit an average of 5,700 views from students across colleges in the internal and external campuses.
