SSU partners with CDA

CATBALOGAN CITY─ Samar State University (SSU) joined other State Universities and Colleges in the region in a Memorandum of Agreement signing ceremony with Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) on May 3 (23) at Hotel Alejandro, Tacloban City.

CDA is a government agency duly organized and existing under and by virtue of the provisions of Republic Act No. 6939, as strengthened by Republic Act No. 11364, also known as the Cooperative Development Authority Charter of 2019.

The CDA-SUC partnership is designed to improve education and training of cooperatives in the nation through the conduct of Training of Trainers for trainers of accredited Cooperative Training Providers and prospective applicants of CDA accreditation program.

With this agreement and being a state university, SSU pledges to promote, advocate, and develop cooperatives in the education system as one of the strategies to achieve equity, social justice and economic development.
