CATBALOGAN CITY- With an invitation to the 1st Futures Literacy and Strategic Foresight Conference (FLSF) at Safranbolu, Turkey, Samar State University (SSU) key officials including President Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso, CIT QA Coordinator Dr. Alex A. Cardoso, and Director for International Affairs Dr. Elmer A. Irene attended the event on February 1-2 (23).
Themed “21st Century Skills and the Future of Employment”, the conference was organized by the UNESCO Chair on Anticipation Studies, Futures Literacy, and Strategic Foresight. It intends to bring together a wide range of disciplines to more precisely define the future of employment and identify the accompanying skills in today’s extremely complicated environment.
The SSU delegates were active participants in the conference as President Cardoso presented a paper relative to one of the conference’s tracks: Futures Literacy and Conceptions of Human Agency; The Role of Creative Thinking in Managerial Sciences Management of Complex Adaptive Systems and Cybernetics; Advances in Anticipation and Futures Literacy; Futures Literacy and Higher Education; Foresight for Sustainability; Network Science and Holistic Thinking; and Socially Responsible Decision Making.
