CATBALOGAN CITY- On Friday, November 18 (22), Samar State University (SSU) was once again recertified by SOCOTEC for ISO 9005:2015 via remote evaluation along Management of Tertiary Educational System, Planning, Research and Extension Services , and College of Graduate Studies.
Since 2016, SSU has implemented a Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standard to enhance the quality of its services and meet customer needs.
ISO 9005:2015 revolves around workable principles to aid in the development of an organization’s customer satisfaction and continuous improvement procedures. This international standard covers the essential components of a successful Quality Management system. It includes a quality system that is codified, management duties, organizational competency standards, and built-in, systemic follow-up and follow-through. The standard is a depiction of best practices in business, risk assessment, infrastructure, and efficient resource management.
Led by SOCOTEC’s competent Audit team including Mr. Mark Anthony Ilagan, Mr. Eugene Heradura, Mr. Arcel Andres, and Ms. Merce Flores, the assessment of SSU’s three (3) campuses: Main, Mercedes, and Paranas was guaranteed to be of quality as the University continues to meet statutory requirements, enhance customer satisfaction, and build trust and reputation as an academic institution.
