CATBALOGAN CITY, Philippines—Samar State University (SSU) formalized two significant partnerships through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing with St. Vincent de Paul College Seminary and the Diocese of Calbayog today, June 17, 2025 at the SSU President’s Boardroom, SSU Main Campus, Catbalogan City, Samar. This agreement among the three institutions aims to enhance academic support and research technical assistance.
The MOA signing was performed by the heads of both academic and religious sectors, including Dr. Redentor S. Palencia, SSU University President; Most Rev. Isabelo C. Abarquez, DD, Bishop of Calbayog; Rev. Fr. Jonathan B. Alamin, Dean of Academics; Dr. Felisa E. Gomba, SSU Vice-President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Sherrie Ann C. Labid, SSU Executive Director for Research; and Jake Boy D. Carbonquillo, Director for SSU Quality Assurance. Members of the Diocesan Research Team also joined the significant occasion.
