CEBU CITY, Philippines – Samar State University (SSU) was among the 19 State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) that participated in the regional training dubbed as: A Seminar Writeshop: Capability Building Sessions on Layouting/Typesetting and Online Journal System (OJS). The two-day training, held from April 16 to 17, 2024, took place at Alta Cebu Resort, Cebu City, Philippines.
SSU was represented by officials from the Office of the University Publications including Director of University Publications Ms. Elma C. Sultan, Managing Editor of SSU Journals (Countryside Development Research Journal, Journal of Academic Research, and Journal of Samar Studies) Dr. Marife M. Labaca, Manager of Online Journal System (OJS) Mr. Aldrin Jay B. Delos Reyes, and Head of Audio-Video Laboratory and Production Center (AVLPC) Mr. John Anthony R. Cumpio.
The seminar was organized by the Visayas-Mindanao Consortium for Journal Publications, Inc.
