Licensed engineer and certified professor are facts about the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Felisa E. Gomba. Not known to many that she is a naturally-born “plantita” whose hobby is cultivating plants.

Dr. Gomba revealed that she has self-made gardens and almost all of these produce vegetables that she cooks and serves on the table.

In her garden in Catbalogan City, she grows sweet potato, jute mallow, mallabar spinach, agitway, mint, turmeric, ginger, and bamboo to name a few.

Asked what she does to keep her plants in tip-top condition aside from right amount of water and sunlight, Dr. Gomba answered gaily but candidly, “I don’t use any fertilizer or pesticide. They grow by just tender loving care.”

This Natural Plantita just #JUANACelebrate women and their power to nurture through their thumbs.
