CATBALOGAN CITY – With the theme “Hop and Run 2023: Embracing New Opportunities for Sustained Winnings”, Samar State University (SSU) sets off the year with a Kick-Off Meeting and Management Review on January 24 (23) at the SSU Gymnasium.
Hosted by the Administration and Finance, the meeting was attended by the teaching and non-teaching personnel from the administration, colleges, and external campuses.
During the kick-off meeting, the Vice President for Administration and Finance Dr. Gina U. Espano, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Felisa E. Gomba, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services Engr. Ma. Lourdes P. Amante, and the acting Vice President for Research and Extension Services Engr. Mirador Labrador shared their 2022 accomplishments and their plans and programs for 2023. Specifically, the directives were anchored on the 2022-2027 Strategic Plan of the University dubbed as “Future-Proofing Samar State University”.
Also highlighting the meeting was the University President Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso’s sharing of the feats of the University in the past year and the directives for 2023 as it ‘welcomes more opportunities for sustained winnings’.
Like the water rabbit, SSU will hop & run to continually innovate, build, and serve.
