The Samar State University – Paranas Campus conducted a meeting regarding Curriculum Revision which was held at QA office admin Bldg. on October 25,2022. The aforementioned program began with an opening prayer followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, ASEAN Hymn & SSU Hymn.
The program formally started with the inauguration of Mr. Jonas Fabillar who served as the master of ceremony.
Subsequently, Dr Lourdes C. Delmonte, SSU-PC Campus Director gave her welcoming remark. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to those who attended in the Curriculum Review and Evaluation of the different programs offered at SSU Paranas Campus.
The University has already led the foundation for internationalization and is now working for future improvement of the institution.
It is crucial to have the support of experts in assessing how the curriculum program functions and how responsive the programs are.
According to Dr. Lourdes Delmonte, The Review Evaluation and Revision is one of the reform initiatives of the campus in which, she gave honour and appreciation to the guest evaluators and stakeholders willing to assess the program on how the world moves in terms of higher education and skills development. “Indeed,Curriculum is a reflection and product of the society”.
Afterwards, Prof. Ferdinand P. Once, the head of instruction, formally introduced the panel of experts who helped in giving enlightenment and making the program resilient and internalized, which are the goal of the university.
Prof. Jordan Joseph G. Villanueva – Director of Curriculum & Instruction Development Center, has given focus and looked into consideration on the scarcity and support so they can improve the programs being offered.
The open forum followed, where the stakeholders, partner industry/agency, evaluators and selected SSC officers who were present on the program were given the chance to express their concerns and suggestions on Curriculum Revision, or if there were programs they desire to suggest that is quite needed on the implementation of the curriculum.
The conference ended with a closing remark given by Mrs. Julita P. Dela Cruz, she once again expressed her gratitude to the participants, evaluators and experts for their efforts and suggestions for the betterment of the programs offered in our alma mater and likewise for the curriculum revision.
