CATBALOGAN CITY – On its December 2022 edition, the Alper-Doger (AD) Scientific Index rated Samar State University (SSU) as the 48th top university out of 261 research institutes/agencies and public/private universities in the Philippines.
The AD Scientific Index is a ranking and analysis system based on the scientific performance and the added value of the scientific productivity of individual scientists. It analyses academic studies from 216 countries, 19525 universities/institutions, and 1,195,524 scientists by using numerous criteria to present results to be used for the evaluation of productivity and efficiency by individuals and institutions.
In the world ranking, the University landed on the 11,545th spot with a total of nineteen (19) scientists in Index.
The International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), an international agricultural research and training organization, ranked first in the Philippines over Mindanao State University Iligan Institute of Technology and other big universities such as the University of the Philippines, De La Salle University Manila and the University of the Philippines Diliman which landed among the top five.
Ranking first among 19,525 universities in 216 countries is the University of Wisconsin Madison followed by Georgia Institute of Technology and Stanford University.
