Dr. Cardoso graces Philippine Startup Week, presents Managing & Sustaining a TBI

CATBALOGAN CITYAs the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) kicks off the 2022 4th Philippine Startup Week with one of its major activities, the 6th Technology Business Incubator (TBI) Summit, University Administrators including University President Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso were invited to present their perspective on Managing and Sustaining a TBI on November 16 (22).

TBI is one of DOST’s strategies to encourage innovation and technopreneurship for the nation’s socioeconomic development in a knowledge-based global economy.

Bearing the theme, “Homegrown Heroes: Cultivating Future Tech Giants”, SSU TBI-LAMBAT being a startup enabler was the highlight of Dr. Cardoso’s sharing during the Summit’s launching of the 2022 Higher Education Institution Readiness for Innovation and technopreneurship (HEIRIT) Program organized by DOST-PCIEERD.

“Samar State University has served a total of 19 incubatees.  And one of its very successful incubates is Peddler which has now made a dent in the world of micro and small businesses as a point of sale app,” proudly informed Dr. Cardoso.

With DOST as one the University’s key partners in nation-building, SSU commits to assist more startups and produce employable, future-proof, and prospective entrepreneur and CEO graduates.
