CATBALOGAN CITY – Samar State University’s homegrown table tennis players bested all the teams in the region during the 5th Yolanda Cup Tournament – Table Tennis on November 11-12 (22) in Robinson’s North, Tacloban City.
SSU faculty Mr. Zaldy Jabiñar won back to back for the Executive Event and the Team Event with students Mark Orbong and Warren Polido.
Another SSU team composed of SSU students Linard Sultan, John Raymund Verzosa, and Simon Siachua placed 2nd on the Team Event.
The Yolanda Cup Tournament is an annual event organized by the Leyte’s Table Tennis Association gathering players around Region 8.
