CATBALOGAN CITY─ Students Jevah Mae V. Piamonte, Dannilyn A. Bacutes, Hannah Claie V. Balbedina, Ma. Victoria P. Estrada, Capper B. Rueda, Ryedell A. Talaogon, and Myline C. Mabulay joined the Heads Up! Regional PSA Competition and coveted the 2nd place as announced on August 19 (22) via email.
The competition is organized by the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) and co-organized by Edukasyon.ph and AIP Foundation. According to them, ‘the objective is to design a creative helmet safety video, raising awareness for youth and general road users of the life-saving importance of helmet safety’.
Having undergone a rigid video evaluation and live pitching, the students rejoice over the fruit of their labor as they will receive 500 USD as a prize.
“More than the cash prize, it is the experience and the part of being able to promote the use of helmet that we are happy about,” said Ms. Piamonte, the team’s leader.
