CATBALOGAN CITY─ Samar State University (SSU) soars higher at rank 56 from last year’s 59 in the second edition 2022 ranking by Ranking Web or Webometrics.
The University was ranked 7510 out of more than 31,000 higher education institutions in more than 200 countries which were evaluated based on bibliometric (research mission) and webometric (all missions) indicators.
For this July 2022 ranking, SSU received scores of 17237 for visibility (measured by the number of external networks linking to the institution’s websites), 5971 for openness (measured by the number of citations from the top 210 authors), and 6080 for excellence (measured by the number of papers that were among the top 10% cited across all 27 disciplines in the full database from 2017-2021).
As the Ranking Web encourages open access to the knowledge produced by Universities, SSU will continue to put its foot forward for best strategies along quantity and quality of web contents to improve its ranking.
