MARABUT, SAMAR – The Chair of Samar State University (SSU) Board of Regents (BOR) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Commissioner Aldrin A. Darilag took part in the Critiquing and Discussion of Samar State University’s (SSU) 2022-2027 Strategic Plan dubbed as “Future Proofing Samar State University” on July 7 (22).
A day after serving as Commencement Speaker of the 87th Commencement Exercises of the University, Dr. Darilag continued to join the University in the final crafting of its strategic plan.
The University President Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso expressed her gratitude to the BOR Chair for his unwavering support that led SSU to greater heights and her encouragement to the University’s officials to continue working towards SSU’s goal 2040─ becoming one of the Top 200 Universities in Asia.
“With Commissioner Aldrin A. Darilag as the Chair of the SSU-Board of Regents, SSU is soaring high, even conquering the international arena. And as we establish a ‘world-class and future proof SSU,’ let’s make sure that we align our Strategic Plan with our vision-mission, objective, and mantra,” she stated.
And as a highlight of the event, SSU Planning and Management Director Engr. Rodrigo G. Estrada presented the Strategic Plan 2022-2027 which was followed by its discussion and critiquing by University Officials and Commissioner Darilag.
“We still have a long way to go, but we’ll get there soon,” he optimistically concluded.
The event ended with a Samar tour sponsored by the Samar Provincial Tourism Office headed by Mr. Marvin Piczon. SSU couldn’t be more thankful to the Province of Samar through the Office of the Governor Hon. Sherrie Ann T. Tan for the unwavering support to SSU’s plans and programs.
