SSU-IT faculty, ICT staff undergo Advanced Engineering Bootcamp

CATBALOGAN CITY – The Information Technology (IT) Instructors and the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Staff of Samar State University (SSU) were in full force as they took up the MikroTik Advanced Engineering Bootcamp which kickstarted on May 30 (22) at the IT Laboratory.

IT Faculty Zaldy A. Jabiñar, Harold Kent S. Pedraza, Dennis B. Durango, Erickson L. Niego, Anna Monica C. Paculaba, Ma. Venus J. Candido, Joanalyn A. Mabulac, Gerald F. Lominoque, Nevhan Cliff P. Zosa and the ICT staff Gilmer Gonzales, Edcel Duena, Keno Ginez, and Ariel Verzosa took up courses on MikroTik Certified Network Associate (MTCNA), MikroTik Certified Routing Engineer (MTCRE), and MikroTik Certified User Management Engineer (MTCUME).

The three (3) courses were designed to train the participants along 1) configuring, managing and troubleshooting MikroTik device, 2) basics and techniques of Routing, VPN, OSPF, and MME, and the 3) User Management through RADIUS.

By the end of the training, on June 3 (22), the aforementioned SSU faculty will receive three (3) internationally recognized certifications from MikroTik, an academy based in Latvia, Europe which SSU has a standing Memorandum of Agreement with.
