CATBALOGAN CITY – The last wave of the webinar series of a component of the Commission on Higher Education- Initiated Institutional Development and Innovation Grant (CHED-IDIG) project: “Enhancement of Samar State University Learning Management System” titled “Packaging, Branding, and Publishing of Instructional Materials” was conducted on June 9-10 (22).
After designing and producing self-instructional materials and turning them into video and podcast, the last webinar aimed to incorporate branding and packaging to the produced learning materials and to submit them for copyright and publication.
Serving as speakers of the two-day event were University of the Philippines-Open University’s (UPOU) Office of Academic Support and Instructional Services Director Asst. Prof. Ana Katrina T. Marcial, Multimedia Center Director Ms. Luisa A. Gelisan, and the Faculty Education Dean Dr. Ricardo T. Bagarinao.
Topics along Packaging/Branding of Learning Materials (Text-Based and Video & Podcast) and Learning Materials: From Writing to Publication were attended by 81 participants both from the University and other institutions.
“With the end of the webinar series which started last year, the team hopes that it would result to production of different learning materials that will cater the needs of the learners and the demands of flexible learning,” said Dr. Ronald L. Orale, Vice President for Research and Extension Services and the project’s leader.
