Catbalogan City, Philippines- The Philippine Army 8th Infantry Division inked an agreement with Samar State University (SSU) for the Citizen Satisfaction and Trust (CSAT) Survey virtually on October 6 (21).
CSAT (Citizen Satisfaction and Trust) Survey is a measurement used to quantify the degree to which customers are satisfied with a service, product, or experience.
8ID Commander Major Gen. Pio Diñoso III and SSU President Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso represented the two parties and agreed to implement the CSAT project from the creation of the CSAT survey team to the development of data gathering instruments and the actual conduct of the CSAT Survey.
Also gracing the event from SSU were Dr. Ronald Orale, Vice-President for Research and Extension Services, and Dr. Sherrie Ann Labid, Executive Director for Research.
Dr. Labid, In-Charge Research Specialist of the CSAT Survey, emphasized that the 8ID must have the confidence that the people they serve are satisfied and have their trust to successfully implement initiatives to end local communist armed conflict.
Major Gen. Pio Diñoso III said that the Philippine Army is on its journey towards the vision of becoming a source of national pride as embodied in the Army Transformation Roadmap.
“In order to achieve this vision, we requested for the expertise of SSU, a neutral party that is rich in academic knowledge and has a good reputation for its objectivity, to collect an honest-to-goodness answer to the survey. I am excited for the upcoming results (may it be positive or negative) and this the partnership with SSU,” he stated.
Dr. Cardoso in response said that she is hoping for a successful partnership between 8ID and SSU.
The agreement has already taken effect on October 1 (21) and is expected to be terminated on March 31 (22) after mission completion by both parties.
