SSU among the agencies awarded by PCSC

CATBALOGAN CITY─ Samar State University (SSU) was among the 11 agencies in Region 8 that was recognized by the Philippine Civil Service Commission (PCSC) during its Appreciation Program for Frontline Government Workers in celebration of the agency’s 121st Philippine Service Anniversary today, September 27 (21), via Zoom Web Conferencing and Facebook Live Streaming.

Working under a 10-year theme, “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant Heroes”, this year, the commission gives tribute to frontline government workers in recognition of their selfless efforts and dedication to help the country in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Selected government agencies across all regions were given the Mark of Recognition which were identified by their respective CSC Regional Offices and Field Offices based on the criteria: Agencies that provide healthcare services to COVID-19 patients and/or person with close contact with patients infected by the disease; Agencies that continuously provide support services or assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic; and Agencies with high number of cases and recoveries from the COVID-19 disease.
