CHED Chair Popoy De Vera enlivens ‘Padyak’, visits Bukidnon TES Grantees

Bukidnon, Northern Mindanao – The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Chairperson, J. Prospero “Popoy” De Vera continues to walk the talk as he brought to life the theme of the 1st National Higher Education Day “PADYAK! Moving Forward, Claiming Victory for Philippine Higher Education” when he cycled towards the residence of Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) Grantees on his two wheels.

As an avid cyclist, Chair Popoy together with his team aimed a finish line at Musuan, Maramag, Bukidnon, Northern Mindanao where two (2) of the 500,000 TES Grantees, Leo Colipano and Mary Cris Sawanga, reside.

More than 1.6 million students are free of tuition in the Philippines and 300,000 are Tulong Dunong beneficiaries. This only goes to show that regardless of status, everyone has the chance to finish studies and have a secured life.

State Universities and Colleges in Eastern Visayas are looking forward to CHED Chair Popoy’s coming as he continues to ‘padyak’ to champion free higher education so that ‘no student is left behind’.
