SSU braces its first remote AACCUP accreditation survey visit

CATBALOGAN CITY – Samar State University remains unstoppable towards attaining quality even amidst the pandemic as the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc. pays its week-long virtual accreditation survey visit which started on November 23 until November 27 (20).

The University pushed through with the accreditation to confirm that it meets a strict and recognized set of service and operational standards as they meet accreditors ‘on cloud’ via Zoom on Monday.

Dr. Carlo T. Nabo, Team Leader for the program Doctor of Management, commended the University for its zeal to be accredited on these trying times. (For and on behalf of the accreditors) “I wish you all the best SSU in this online accreditation!”, he added.

He also emphasized the difference of the accreditation process on the new normal and prior to the onset of the coronavirus.

Several programs are currently undergoing survey; Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, Master of Science in Nursing, Master in Fisheries Technology, Master in Technician Education, Master of Science in Information Technology, and Bachelor of Secondary Education – Paranas Campus for the Preliminary Survey Visit; Doctor of Management for the 2nd Survey Visit; and Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing under the 3rd Survey Visit.

The closing program will be held on Friday, November 27. SSU is with high hopes that it will successfully complete the online accreditation survey visit with remarkable notes from the accreditors.
