SSU Research and Innovation Center is ready to loan qPCR machine for COVID testing

CATBALOGAN CITY – Samar State University (SSU) through the Research and Innovation Center (RIC) is ready to provide services for COVID testing by lending its quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction (qPCR) machine.

SSU expresses its willingness to aid the country for expanded testing that will be carried out once more test kits arrive from South Korea, China and the UP-NIH.

The real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR system is intended for clinical application to detect infectious pathogens, such as the coronavirus.

SSU-RIC is ready to loan its qPCR machine which can be used by trained volunteer molecular biologists in the expanded testing of COVID-19.

The University is one with the national government in putting a halt to the spread of COVID-19.
