CATBALOGAN CITY – The Catbalogan Volunteer Fire Brigade Association Inc. (CVFBAI) disinfected the surroundings of Samar State University (SSU)
Main and Mercedes campuses last night, March 19.
Though there are no confirmed case of the COVID-19 in the region yet, the University President, Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso, still presses initiatives to combat the possibility of virus persisting in the locality, including the initiative of disinfecting the surfaces of a vicinity such as doorknobs, countertops, and electronic equipment which can possibly transmit viral and bacterial diseases.
Dr. Cardoso requested the volunteers of the CVFBAI to sanitize th
e Mercedes and Main campuses and provided the necessary materials needed during the flushing.
The CVFBAI utilized its fire trucks carrying a disinfecting solution to kill the possible viruses active on hard surfaces like glass, metal, or plastic.
SSU will regularly disinfect the campuses as a permanent sanitary measure even after the COVID-19 subsides.
