Catbalogan City, Samar- The Bayhon ngan Debuho Art Exhibit was opened yesterday at the SSU Convention Center. The said art exhibit is in line with the Kabilin 2020, in celebration of the National Arts Month. The event is initiated by the SSU Museum and Archives.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was graced by the Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Gina Uy-Españo and the Director of the Multimedia Development Center, Prof. Jordan Joseph G. Villanueva. Together with the two featured young artists of Catbalogan, Mr. Chevin Villaflor and Mr. Albert Omabe Jr., the ceremony was also joined by Waray poet Mr. Nemesio S. Baldesco, Sr. and Prof. Jhonil C. Bajado, Head of SSU Museum & Archives.
Hundreds of visitors swamped the art exhibit pavilion as the exhibit was unraveled to the public. Faculty and students from the different colleges of Samar State Univerity, as well as from Samar Colleges, Inc., St Mary’s College of Catbalogan, and Samar National School, have joined the multitude of guests.
The exhibit will run until tomorrow, February 28, 2020.
