DMTW using microsoft excel, helps students notch with emerging technologies

CATBALOGAN – Data Manipulation Training and Workshop’s (DMTW) one of the three objectives was to help students and participants, especially those under ALS, to cope with the current trends in technologies as it was held, Monday, August 20 (18) at Brgy. Ibol, Catbalogan City.

The DMTW was also set to introduce to the students/participants the basics of Microsoft Excel and its importance in the society especially in work environment.

Engr. Ma. Elena Tizon commenced the discussion of “Entering and Editing Data in Worksheet and Building Worksheets Using Formulas” followed by “Enhancing Worksheet” discussed by Prof. Gerald Lominoque. While afternoon session topics were “Creating Charts” and “Printing an Excel Worksheet” presented by Prof. Ma. Venus Candido and Prof. Joanalyn Mabulac.

Pre- and post-tests show a great difference, they have already enough knowledge about MS Excel and was thoroughly improved by the help of this activity.

Learning the basics of microsoft excel is an essential tool to cope up with even just an easy task. However, student-participants must really show in-depth interest with regards to the training pursued by the College of Arts and Sciences and use the school facility from time to time.

Eleven (11) participants were present during the event composed of one (1) female and ten (10) male student-participants.
