According to the policy issued by the Commission on Higher education, the following are the types of students that are eligible to enroll in colleges and universities, provided that they fulfill the admission requirements:
- Senior High School Early Adopters and graduating Grade 12 students, are eligible to enter college, regardless of the track or strand taken in the Senior High School.
- high school graduates from the old curriculum or those who graduated in high school before the K to 12 Program was implemented are still entitled to enter college, provided that they take bridging program for New General Education Curriculum
- college students who stopped schooling are allowed to re-enroll as long as they go through bridging program and undergo crediting of units of old courses for new General Education Curriculum
TO all the students who are eligible to proceed to Higher Education, SAMAR STATE UNIVERSITY is NOW OFFICIALLY OPEN for ENTRANCE EXAMINATION for the academic year 2018-2019.
For Grade 12 students who plan to take a course which is not aligned with the track taken, you are encouraged to avail the early entrance examination of SSU so that you can still go through a bridging program, if you are interested, please provide the ff. admission requirements:
- A certification that you will graduate this 2018
- 4 pcs. Passport eise ID picture with Nametag
- Photocopy of NSO birth certificate
- Free College Admission Test Fee
For high school graduates from the old curriculum and college students who stopped schooling, you are also encouraged to avail the early entrance examination of SSU so that you can still undergo a bridging program and crediting of units of old courses, if you are interested, please provide the ff. admission requirements:
- Form 138 and its equivalent
- Certificate of Good Moral
- 4 pcs. Passport size ID picture with Nametag

- Free College Admission Test Fee
