Nine SSU programs are evaluated for readiness for level 1 through a Preliminary Survey Visit (PSV) conducted by the Accrediting Agency for Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines. SSU hast 35 programs offered in the three campuses of the university. Nine (9) are already level 3 re-accredited and is about to be evaluated for level 4 this year. Earlier this year, three programs was subjected to PSV and late last year, two programs in the CAS underwent level 1 accreditation. Undergoing AACCUP PSV are the following colleges and programs:
College of Engineering: BS Computer Engineering/BS Electronics and Communications Engineering
College of Industrial Technology: Bachelor of Industrial Technology/Bachelor of Mechanical Technology
College of Arts and Sciences: BS Information System/BS in Psychology
SSU-Mercedes Campus: BS in Fishery Education
SSU-Paranas Campus: Bachelor in Elementary Education/BS in Industrial Technology.
AACCUP Evaluators come from three institutes; Cebu Technological University, Negros Oriental State University, Sorsogon State College and the Catanduanes State University.
