The term “Sulo” or torch is a symbolic emblem of light, knowledge, and hope. Its radiant light portrays the very core of the University: to innovate, to build, and to serve. Hence, the SULO AWARDS was established to recognize the achievements and excellent performance of its employees along their duties and functions as they serve as beacons of light.
Here are the 2021 SULO awardees for Outstanding in Instruction, Research, Extension, and Production.
The employee who has the highest rated instruction performance. The employee who has the highest rated score for research productivity (i.e., publications, citations, patents, UMs, externally funded projects, etc.). The employee who has the highest rated extension productivity (number of extension service conducted, clients provided with service and awards and recognition for the service provided, etc.). The employee who has the highest earned research-based or instruction-based production performance or is the external fund generator of the year.
