CATBALOGAN CITY – The Barangay Officials of the Municipality of San Sebastian, Samar attended the Computer Literacy Training Workshop organized by Samar State University (SSU) through the Samar Island Center on Good Local Governance (SICGLG) as part of its project tagged as “Enhancing Barangay-Based Institutions Capability for Improved Local Governance” on October 13-15 (21).
According to the SICGLIG Director, Dr. Abigail M. Cabaguing, the activity aims to enhance the computer literacy of the barangay officials of Sana Sebastian, Samar and to capacitate them on the basic computer applications to enhance their efficiency and workflow for an improved work performance.
SSU Information Technology (IT) instructors, Ms. Monica Paculaba, Mr. Gerald Lominoque, Mr. Erickson Niego, Engr. Dennis Durango, Ms. Venus Candido, Dr. Maryjes Calades, Mr. Nevhan Zosa, Ms. Jonalyn Mabulac, Ms. Maria Elena Tizon, Ms. Sweet Mercy F. Pacolor, Mr. Mark Angelo Bathan, Mr. Arjay Grefaldeo and Mr. Felix Uy served as speakers and facilitators during the three-day event.
“It is such an honor and a huge help that you have visited our barangay officials here in San Sebastian and that you have chosen our municipality for you extension service. Thank you SSU,” municipality’s Mayor, Hon. Terry Mabao, expressed.
Topics on Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Powerpoint were taught during the event which was followed by workshops for learning assessment.
