Eastern Visayas – The Director of the Ethics Review Board (ERB) of Samar State University (SSU) and faculty of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CONHS), Dr. Rheajane A. Rosales, won the 2021 Best Mentor in Health Research Award for the Visayas Cluster.

Dr. Rosales excelled among health research mentors in the Visayas as stated in the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST-PCHRD) e-mail. The agency congratulated her for winning in the Graduate Category after series of screenings.

The Best Mentor Award is offered biennially to recognize and reward mentors in health research who have built the capacities of researchers in the health sector and, in the process, propelled significant advances in the Philippine National Health Research System’s (PNHRS) thrusts as identified in the National Unified Health Research Agenda (NUHRA).

As the lone awardee in the Visayas cluster, Dr. Rosales will be one of the nominees as national winner for the Graduate Category on March 20 (22) during the PCHRD Anniversary Celebration.

SSU President Marilyn D. Cardoso expressed her felicitation to Dr. Rosales through a public post.

“Your SSU family is so proud of you. Our prayers that you will make it at the National Level,” she said.
