CATBALOGAN CITY – To celebrate the milestones of Samar State University Technology Business Incubator-Local Alliance of Marine-based Businesses and Food Technology (SSU TBI-LAMBAT), it conducted the Open Season 2021 at the New College of Arts and Sciences Audio-Visual Room (CAS-AVR) on July 28 (21).
The event was commenced by the Senior Technology Transfer Officer and Science Research Specialist of the Department of Science Technology-Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD), Ms. Liezl D. Sueno, MIPD who discussed the TBI and the Higher Education Institution Readiness for Innovation and Technopreneurship (HEIRIT) Program of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
Highlights of the event include the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing between SSU as represented by President Marilyn D. Cardoso and TBI-LAMBAT’s industry partners namely, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Bits ‘N Bytes Catbalogan Solutions (BBCS) Data Systems, Catbalogan City Youth Development Office, and the City Investment Promotion Office.
The launching of the official website of the technology incubator spearheaded by the Center Manager of the TBI-LAMBAT, Ms. Teresa H. Enalisan and the unveiling of the TBI marker between SSU and DOST-PCIEERD as token of their partnership also took place.
“To the DOST-PCIEERD council and Ms.Rusell Pili, thank you for your continuous support to SSU especially along its Research and Development initiatives,” Dr. Vivian L. Moya, Director of the Intellectual Property and Technology Business Development Office (IPTBDO), stated on a social media post.
The Open Season 2021 hopes to expand partnership of the TBI-LAMBAT and its partner agencies through the DOST-PCIEERD.
